Search engines guess at unlabeled content; schema removes the guessing. Labeled pages qualify for richer results, star ratings, FAQ dropdowns, event details, and, increasingly important, they are easier for AI answer engines to quote accurately with attribution. When an assistant answers a question with your definition and your link, schema did quiet work getting it there.
LocalBusiness or ProfessionalService for identity, Service for each offering, FAQPage wherever real questions get real answers, Article for posts, and BreadcrumbList for structure. Every page of this site carries the relevant set automatically, generated with the page rather than bolted on and forgotten.
Schema must describe what is visibly on the page. Marking up reviews that do not exist or FAQs nobody can see is the kind of shortcut that works until it becomes a penalty. Label truthfully and the labels compound; label wishfully and they backfire.
It is not a ranking boost by itself. It changes how your results look and how reliably machines understand you, which lifts clicks and citations, and those compound.
Search engines offer free rich-results testing tools; paste a URL and see what is detected. If your site was built by hand without it, retrofitting is straightforward.
Clear FAQPage and definition-style content with precise markup gets quoted most cleanly. Direct answers near the top of the page help the humans and the machines alike.
